Our Story

Our Story

Founded in 1997, Gearhead Outfitters has spent the past 20 years accomplishing things that were once just a dream. As our company has grown, so has our perspective. We hope to make a difference in your life by sharing with you what we have learned over the last two decades about our products, our people and our purpose. Driven by a team of passionate, ambitious individuals we are chasing things bigger than ourselves. Through our experiences, we have learned that nothing is impossible.

Gearhead Outfitters dreams big and those dreams have never been confined—we think outside of the box. Each day starts where the last left off; and we end the day with, “How can we be better tomorrow?”

Over the years, we have grown from one small shop in Jonesboro, Ark., to a total of nine retail stores in three states, an Outlet location and the Gearhead Cycle House. We sell outdoor lifestyle apparel and gear, including brands like The North Face, Patagonia, Chaco, Birkenstock, Merrell, Brooks, Yeti, and many more. The brands we carry help tell our story and the stories of our customers.

As a company we strive to build a relationship with every customer that walks through our doors. We consider those relationships our ultimate goal. Our customers invest their time and trust in us and our products, and we never want to take that for granted.

Rooted by a small, local business culture, our customers are—and always will be—our top priority. What we feel like sets us apart is our effort to build a presence in our local communities through events and partnerships. We're committed to hiring, serving and giving locally.

Our dream is to dedicate ourselves, our expertise and our encouragement to you. With this blog we hope to inspire, motivate, encourage and communicate with open hearts (and ears). Your goals, dreams and aspirations are our goals, dreams and aspirations.

This intro kicks off our Walk the Walk blog. We are excited and inspired to be a part of your experience with Gearhead Outfitters.
